For machine vision applications the acquired image is only needed for analysis and is not needed afterwards. Only the result of the analysis is used for controlling the robot or sorting machine. For other applications the image is being transported in either time (stored) or space (transmitted)!
As the amount of data generated by imaging systems is huge, we need to reduce or
compress this data stream. Therefore ARVOO has developed video compression IP
on the basis of the JPEG2000 standard. This algorithm gives better results than
the well-known JPEG or MPEG algorithms, especially for high resolution images.
JPEG2000 comes together with attractive features that we want to use in order
to optimize performance and user comfort. Our JPEG2000 IP can be flexibly
deployed on various hardware platforms.
For data storage ARVOO has developed own products. Various systems are possible, depending on the application and the available budget.
Also regarding transmission over copper, fiber optic or wireless connection, ARVOO can serve with knowledge on the underlying hardware, transmission protocols and encryption.
